Father Engagement Workshop Recording

On May 17, 2023 the Collective welcome Patterson “Don” Crocker from the Village for Families and Children. Don is the Supervisor of Father Engagement Services (FES) for The Village for Families & Children. He has served previously in the Human Services profession as a Domestic Violence Facilitator, Fatherhood Specialist working with incarcerated fathers, and PEP / Equity facilitator for The Alliance for Bloomfield’s Children (ABC). He is a retired member of the U.S. Air Force. His community involvement includes Bloomfield’s Juvenile Review Board (JRB) and Youth Adult Council (YAD). His personal mission at The Village is to help rebuild the community in which he lives, through re-establishing fathers in their home. He assists families by being a resource to help them be successful in all areas of their lives.

“The Village’s Family Engagement Services (FES) Program works with fathers from a strength-based, family-centered, and culturally informed approach. The model includes components of empowerment, resiliency, parent education, and support. Understanding each father’s history and direction is distinctive; the measurement of how each element is measured is enclosed. The individual strengths, needs and make up of each father will drive the approach of services.”
