The Collective’s February Workshop: Read to Grow

On Wednesday February 26, 2025 the Connecticut Children’s Collective welcomed Suzannah Holsenbeck, Executive Director,  Kascia Williams, Program Director, and Pam Katynski, Book Mobile Manager from the organization Read to Grow, to their February professional development learning opportunity.

Read to Grow is a Connecticut based early literacy nonprofit that operates statewide, providing more than 120,000 books a year to children and families through our Books for Babies, Books for Kids, and Bookmobile programs. Whether it’s supporting families as their child’s first and most important teacher by giving every baby born in nearly every CT hospital their first book or helping families build home libraries through regular and frequent book distributions, Read to Grow is committed to the power of literacy to change lives and to the vision that all children deserve books of their own.

We also highlighted the work of the Early Childhood Collaborative of Southington, whose Executive Director Joanne Kelleher, shared pictures of the work they have done and will continue to do with Read to Grow.

If you missed the workshop the full recording can be found here.
