On November 15, 2023 the Collective welcomed Maria Vasquez, Wethersfield Early Childhood Collaborative’s Parent Ambassador, originally from Peru, as well as WECC Coordinator and Family Liaison for Wethersfield Public School Kimberly Bobin, as our special guests for our Collective Wisdom Series. The session focused on language equity, and how we as a Collective, and as individual local early childhood collaborators, can begin to build language equity into our programs and family outreach efforts.

We had a very meaningful and impactful conversation, tapping into our shared experiences, thoughts, and ideas about language equity and how it can be achieved. In an effort to provide continuous quality improvement opportunities to our Collective members we have created this Our Collective Wisdom Series as a way to put a spotlight on the work being done by our local early childhood collaboratives, and how it can inform and help others within the Collective.
