Enfield’s 2019 KITE Annual Meeting

By Barbara Vita —

The Room was filled at Enfield KITE’s 2019 Annual Meeting held at Asnuntuck Community College.

It was a gathering of partners, providers, volunteers, funders, and town officials all joining together to celebrate the good-works that KITE has accomplished! It was truly a celebration of teamwork. The mayor spoke of the commitment that the town has made in supporting early childhood programming and praised all those involved in KITE.

The highlight of the evening was when Commissioner Beth Bye from the OEC spoke fondly of the time she had spent as a teacher of young children. She expressed how she understood the challenges facing the early childhood landscape in Connecticut, and how together, we could grow and sustain the work being done on behalf of children and families. It was a memorable and inspiring night for all!

Featured is Chris Gomeau, KITE Coordinator, KITE Chair, LeAnn Beaulieu, awarding Commissioner Beth Bye with artwork done by a 4 year old student in their STEAM Academy, in appreciation of her dedication to young children.
