On February 21, 2024 the Collective welcomed Karen Pascale, CT Head Start Collaboration Office Director, and Anne Giordano, Director of Infants, Toddlers, and Families for EdAdvance to Our Collective Wisdom Series to talk about the resources and programs that are available to homeless families that educational professional should know about. Our Collective Wisdom Spotlight featuring: Wethersfield Early Childhood Collaborative NOV 2023
On November 15, 2023, the Collective welcomed Maria Vasquez, Wethersfield Early Childhood Collaborative’s Parent Ambassador, originally from Peru, as well as WECC Coordinator and Family Liaison for Wethersfield Public School Kimberly Bobin, as our special guests for our Collective Wisdom Series. The session focused on language equity, and how we as a Collective, and as individual local early childhood collaborators, can begin to build language equity into our programs and family outreach efforts.
Our Collective Wisdom Spotlight featuring: New Britain, Manchester and Bloomfield SEP 2023
On September 20, 2023 we began the first in our new series, Our Collective Wisdom. We have chosen this year to highlight the good-works of our local early childhood collaboratives (LECCs), through our Collective Spotlight series. With Our Collective Wisdom series, we will choose a topic that we have seen several of our LECCs working on. We will reach out to the program directors and invite them to share with the Collective, at our scheduled professional development meetings, their process in getting the work or project up and running. Attendees can ask questions and learn from their own peers how to improve or simply get their initiatives off the ground.
